Standard Heat Sinks

Cold Forged Round Pin Heat Sinks
Round Pin Heat Sinks for
Natural Convection & Low Airflow Applications

Round pin heat sinks offer the best thermal performance when the airflow rate is limited. They are omni-directional and are forged from pure aluminum 1070, who has higher thermal conductivity (~240 W/m-K) than other aluminum alloys (such as 6063 and 6061).

Medium to High Airflow Applications

Round pin heat sinks that are the ultimate solution for mission-critical applications, especially for systems where the airflow speed or direction may change during service. They are omni-directional and optimized for medium to high airflow applications.

Plate Fin Heat Sinks
Plate Fin Heat Sinks with
High Aspect Ratios for High Airflow Applications

Plate fin heat sinks designed for high airflow and made from extruded aluminum are cost effective and offer the best thermal performance in forced convection when their fins are parallel to the airflow direction.

Plate Fin Heat Sinks
Plate Fin Heat Sinks for
Low to Medium Airflow Applications

Plate fin heat sinks designed for low to medium airflow. Extruded aluminum heat sinks can be easily customized with excellent surface finish and appearance.

Smaller Sizes

Plate fin heat sinks offer the best thermal performance in forced convection when their fins are parallel to the airflow direction. When omni-directional feature is not required, they are the most cost effective solution.

Cold Forged Elliptical Pin Heat Sinks

Elliptical pin heat sinks offer the best thermal performance when the airflow rate is high. The heat sinks are forged from pure aluminum 1070, who has higher thermal conductivity (~240 W/m-K) than other aluminum alloys (such as 6063 and 6061).

Elliptical pin heat sinks offer the best thermal performance when the airflow rate is high. The spring loaded push pins provide a secure mechanism to attach the heat sinks to the PCB.

Cross Cut Heat Sinks
Cross Cut Heat Sinks

Cross cut heat sinks offer good thermal performance and some omni-directional capabilities when the airflow rate is medium to high. The cross cuts promote turbulence and improve performance by breaking the stagnant air boundary layers formed on the extruded fins.

Attachment Hardware for Heat Sinks
Attachment Hardware

We recommend using spring loaded screws or push pins to attach heat sinks to PCB, for better control of the pressure between the heat sink and the device. Our captive shoulder screws, spring loaded push pins and low-profile spring screws are developed to fit 3.0, 2.5 and 1.5 mm diameter holes.
